Yahukimo, Highland Papua – A challenging recovery operation unfolded in Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua, after a joint rescue team located the body of Teina Alya at the bottom of a ravine approximately 50 meters deep. Authorities believe the victim was fatally shot before her body was found in the remote location, requiring a complex rescue mission under difficult conditions.

The recovery team, consisting of personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), and other relevant agencies, descended the steep cliff using specialized rope-rescue equipment to reach the victim. Mountainous terrain, unstable weather, and difficult access significantly complicated the operation.

Recovery Conducted Under Extremely Difficult Conditions

According to officials, the victim's body was located at the bottom of a ravine that could only be accessed using advanced vertical rescue techniques. Rescue personnel spent several hours carefully recovering the victim while prioritizing the safety of both the operation team and the integrity of the evacuation process.

Following the successful recovery, the body was transported to a medical facility for formal identification and further forensic examination in accordance with standard procedures.
