Three civilians were reported killed in separate shooting incidents, raising public concern and highlighting ongoing security challenges in several areas of Papua Pegunungan.

Chronology of Events

The first incident took place on the initial day, when a civilian was shot in a residential area. The attack occurred suddenly, triggering panic among local residents.

Shortly afterward, on the following day, two more shooting incidents took place, resulting in the deaths of two additional civilians. In total, three fatalities were recorded within a span of two days. Security forces suspect that these attacks were carried out by an armed group affiliated with the Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM), which has frequently been linked to acts of violence in Papua.
